Hi Reader,
Here we are on week 3 of the newsletter! Thanks for being a regular reader. :)
I'm off to a mountain cabin for my 30th birthday! But I'll be back tomorrow to answer any questions or replies.
One of the things everyone neglects when starting out is a thank you page, but it can be one of the biggest keys to having an engaged subscriber list. Barrett and I did a whole episode on this which was really well received. Watch the episode »
I wrote a post last year about starting a newsletter, and I talked about how newsletters were a trend that was gaining traction in all areas of the internet. That trend has only grown over the last year and I continue to think it's the best way to connect with your audience and build your email list. I must believe it, here I am doing it myself! I think of myself as a prolific creator, but I so often struggle with creative battles that keep me from reaching my full potential. Tim’s book Running Down a Dream really resonated with me as he walked through his own journey and lessons. Tim is a great friend and an even better writer. Definitely check out the book!
This week's featured creator is Gloria Atanmo. Glo is an accomplished travel blogger, writer and now teacher. After building her business to 6 figures she decided to start helping others do the same thing. Check out Glo's story here or read more about her here and here.

That's it for today. Hope you have a great week!

Hey Reader, What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? You’ve probably seen some version of this question before. It’s a good one, though sometimes the answer isn’t immediately obvious. In Chapter 2 of my upcoming book, The Ladders of Wealth, I credit him with a principle he shared with his MBA students called "worse first",...
Hey Reader, If I could solve only one thing in my business, that would have the biggest impact, what would that be? This is the question every great entrepreneur obsesses over. Rather than trying to do everything at once, you look for the bottleneck and focus on solving that. There’s a book called The Goal by an Israeli physicist named Eliyahu Goldratt. It’s a 1984 business novel that business systems nerds love. However if you’re not a business systems nerd you probably… won’t love it. It’s...
Hey Reader, Have you ever spent money on something and immediately felt guilty afterward? Will Guidara spends his money foolishly on purpose. And he thinks you should too. He once bought an entire barrel of whiskey and put it in his basement. He also put a skee-ball machine in the office. Is he going to get a monetary return on either of these things? No. But that’s kind of the point. He calls it the 95/5 rule: Manage your money and time like a maniac 95% of the time (no expense is too...
