Kit MCP is here (your AI can finally do the work)

Hey Reader,

I have some exciting news.

We just launched Kit MCP which connects your favorite AI tools directly to your Kit account.

If you haven't come across MCP before, it's basically a bridge that lets AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, and others take action inside software. So instead of drafting something and having to copy and paste from your AI into other tools, your AI can do that for you automatically. Tag subscribers in Kit, create sequences, and draft and send broadcasts—all this from inside the conversation you're already in.

Just to give you an idea of the kinds of things this makes possible…

A couple weeks ago, I shared that I was looking for beta readers for my new book, The Ladders of Wealth. I had 65 people sign up through some beta reading software. The service had no export option, so I hit CMD+A, copied all of the readers listed on the page, and pasted into Claude. I asked it to clean up the names and emails into a usable list, add everyone to Kit, and create and apply a tag. Then I asked it to write a quick email telling them to read the book that weekend. It drafted one, I confirmed the draft, and it sent. The whole thing happened inside a single Claude conversation.

We ran a closed beta for the Kit MCP before today's launch, and the use cases creators found in just a few weeks are a great preview of what's possible:

  • Create custom fields and tags for new lead magnets automatically
  • Build a custom dashboard showing which emails drove purchases
  • Schedule a weekly newsletter using the previous issue as a template
  • Run a monthly performance review and flag which email types to reduce

What makes Kit's MCP particularly capable is just how much of the platform it can reach. We've spent the last 2.5 years building out the API so it can do almost everything in Kit: create and update sequences, manage subscribers and tags, pull purchase data, and draft and schedule broadcasts.

Other email platforms that have released MCPs let you ask questions about your data, but you still have to go back and do things with those insights manually. Kit's MCP handles both in the same conversation.

These few ideas are just the start. People in the beta were building things in their first sessions that would have taken hours to set up manually. It's really exciting.

You can try it out today:

PODCAST

How to Build a Million Dollar Creator Business (Masterclass)

How do you actually break through $1M as a creator?

Grant Baldwin sold tens of millions through The Speaker Lab. Bryan Harris scaled Growth Tools past $2M helping coaches grow their businesses. They're the first repeat duo I've had on the show, and this conversation gets into the lessons they learned along the way and what changed for both of them.

We get into why focus and elimination is where most of the growth comes from, how positioning your offer around acute pain is more effective than most sales and marketing tactics, and why tracking customer outcomes changes everything.

I'm speaking at Lead Generation Live: How founders generate leads in 2026

The next big opportunity you're looking for is probably already on your email list. Whether that's a potential sponsor or a future collaborator, they likely already subscribed, but you just don't know they're there yet.

KIT FEATURE

Kit MCP: Turn email insights into action

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible AI tool directly to your Kit account.

Most email platform MCPs let you read your data. Kit's MCP lets you act on it too. Ask questions about your subscribers, sequences, and email performance, then tag subscribers, build sequences, draft broadcasts, and pull purchase data without leaving the conversation.

Hey Reader, Someone keeps offering to save me money, and I won't take it. A company has been pushing Kit to switch our corporate card away from Brex, which is what we run our company spending through. Their pitch is that cashback returns more than credit card points, dollar for dollar. They might be right, but I still won't switch. Most businesses are doing exactly what they appear to be doing. But some of the most interesting ones—including creator businesses—have something else running...

Launch party at Kit Studios NYC

Hey Reader, Within the first few minutes of hearing about a business, I usually know whether it’s going to succeed or fail. It comes down to two things: The first is the physics of the business. And by physics, I mean the fundamentals of the business. Those things won’t change no matter how well you execute. Over the years, I've built a personal list of what I’d want a business to have before I start or invest in it. These are the five things I look for—and ideally a business has at least...

Hey Reader, There are opportunities hiding in your email list right now that you probably have no idea are even there. And that’s because while your audience may know you, at scale it’s difficult for you to know them. Until now. Last week was the biggest product week in Kit’s history. From the stage at Craft + Commerce, I announced a new Kit feature I’m really excited about called Subscriber Signals. It’s audience research done for you automatically. It was my favorite announcement but far...
