What's new in ConvertKit

Hey Reader,

Last week we visited our new friends Justin and Rebekah Rhodes in Asheville, North Carolina. If you want to watch a little of our time there (including me learning how to process a chicken) you can check out the episode on Justin's vlog. We spent some time picking sweet potatoes as you can tell from Justin's shocked face:

WHAT'S NEW AT CONVERTKIT

Commerce features and more!

We've launched several new features in the past couple of months, many of them focused on ConvertKit commerce.

With product embeds you can put the ConvertKit Commerce product you've created directly into an email, which will make it much easier to promote.

We've also added the ability to update your bank statement descriptor. By default, your bank statement descriptor will be the first part of the website URL you provided when setting up payments in ConvertKit Commerce. Now, you can customize it so to help customers recognize their purchases with you more easily and reduce any refunds and disputes.

We launched weekly or monthly account summary email notifications. This will give creators a at-a-glance overview of how their account is performing, including number of new subscribers, best performing landing pages and emails, as well as total revenue.

We also gave creators the ability to turn on notifications when someone has just subscribed to their list or purchased their product. It’ll give you immediate information about which landing page or form is performing for you, and how much money you've made in your recent sale.

And lastly we added the ability to download CSVs of your engagement and subscriber reports so you can analyze your data and make adjustments to your strategies.

Making money is a skill

Hey Reader, One winter morning when I was twelve, I sat at the kitchen table eating cereal, staring out the window at the largest snowflakes I'd ever seen. Every other kid in Boise was sledding. I was homeschooled, which meant no snow days. My mom spoke up: "You know, Nathan, school doesn't have to take a set amount of time. The sooner you complete your work, the sooner you can go sledding." Two hours later I was on the hill. That morning I understood something I carried with me for years. I...

Hey Reader, A lot of the rules we built our work habits around made sense before AI. Some of them held up for decades. Right now, in early 2026, I think it's worth asking which ones still do. Here are five things I think are worth throwing out: 1. Detailed mid-level planning Knowing where you're going is still important. But the master plan that used to live between the destination and the work itself is mostly just a way to delay starting. Before, mapping out how all the systems connect just...

Stack of balanced stones on a rocky shore

Hey Reader, If I say something dumb, I'm probably still replaying it in my head 11 years later. Just me? It’s an exhausting feeling. You're not really solving anything, you're just reliving the moment over and over. And when you're building a business, there's always something new to add to the pile. After a while, it gets hard to tell which things actually need your attention and which ones you've just been dragging around. Start by writing everything down. When a worry stays in your head,...
